Why is this event important?
Dollar-for-dollar early childhood has one of the highest returns on investment out there. Yet families are struggling to find and afford child care and child care providers are struggling to stay open. Did you know that in our area there's only enough licensed child care to meet 40% of the need and a typical family spends over 30% of their income on child care? Or, how about that child care providers are among the lowest-paid workforce members despite annual continuing education and the critical service they provide? Together we can find solutions for this.
