Create a Bequest

Donors may make gifts to the Park County Community Foundation through bequests in their wills by designating a specific gift or dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or the residual that remains after all other bequests have been made. Such bequests shall not be recorded as gifts to the Foundation until such time as the gift is irrevocable. Where the gift is irrevocable but is not due until a future date, the present value of the gift may be recorded at the time the gift becomes irrevocable.

All bequests are subject to the specific considerations and minimum gift amounts set forth in the Gift Acceptance Policy

In order to assist donors or their counsel in drafting testamentary language, the Community Foundation offers the following samples:

“I hereby give and bequeath [name of asset] or [$____ from] or [__% of my estate] to the Park County Community Foundation, a Montana not-for-profit corporation operating in Livingston, Montana, for its general purposes.”

“I hereby give and bequeath all of the rest, reside and remainder of my estate to the Park County Community Foundation, a Montana not-for-profit corporation operating in Livingston, Montana, for its general operating purposes”
