Raising a Neptune’s Pint Raises Funds for the Give A Hoot Matching Pool
Local business Neptune’s Brewery is supporting the Park County Community Foundation’s annual Give A Hoot giving challenge by sharing revenue earned through sales of a new specialty brew, the Give A Hoot Pilsner. The eighth annual month-long giving challenge, facilitated by the Park County Community Foundation (PCCF), celebrates the spirit of generosity in Park County and inspires the whole community to support their favorite, local nonprofit organizations.
Neptune’s Brewery owner, Jon Berens, pours a sample of the upcoming Give a Hoot Pilsner. A portion of the proceeds from the beer sold during July will be donated to the Give a Hoot Matching Pool.
“We’re all about supporting the community and this is a cool way to do it,” said Neptune’s owner Jon Berens.
The light, crisp Give A Hoot Pilsner– brewed from 100% Montana-grown malt and hops– will be available during Give a Hoot campaign from July 1-31. A portion of the proceeds from the beer sold during July will be donated to the Give A Hoot Matching Pool and will benefit all nonprofits participating. The campaign’s Matching Pool encourages nonprofits to earn partial matching funds through their fundraising in July and inspires the whole community to support their favorite local nonprofits.
Several Park County businesses will be serving the beer in July, including Neptune’s Brewery, Sage Lodge, and Pine Creek Lodge. Residents and visitors will be able to support the Give A Hoot Matching Pool simply by purchasing a pint of Give a Hoot Pilsner, including at the Livingston Farmers Market.
Nearly two dozen other businesses and foundations are contributing to the Matching Pool, including: Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation & Willow Creek Ranch, Circle 49, Jan & Trevor Rees-Jones, The Solso Family Foundation, AMB West Community Fund, Harvey & Carol Massey Foundation, Sal & Carol Lalani, Livingston’s Ace Hardware, Dovana Foundation, Crazy Mountain Ranch, July Hardesty/Edward Jones, Fishcamp Custom, glassybaby, Yellowstone Valley Lodge & Grill, Frontline Ag Solutions, Community Closet, Sibanye Stillwater, Bank of the Rockies, HighCamp Compliance, and First Interstate Bank.
“We are so grateful to Neptune’s Brewery and all of our Matching Pool sponsors that help to inspire and expand the impact of Park County’s generosity over the month of July,” said Keva Ward, PCCF program manager. “This is a fun and delicious way to support Give a Hoot and the amazing work our nonprofits are doing in our community.”
On Tuesday, June 30 at 6 p.m., PCCF staff will be at Neptunes Brewery to tap the first keg of the Give a Hoot Pilsner and celebrate with the local nonprofit community.
Beginning July 1st, individuals may also contribute to the Matching Pool online directly as well as donate to their favorite nonprofits at www.give-a-hoot.org.
