Give A Hoot 2025 Raises Over $3.2 Million for Park County Nonprofits

The Park County community showed up in a big way this summer. The 2025 Give A Hoot Community Giving Challenge continued its 7-year record-breaking streak, underscoring the vibrant spirit of generosity that makes Park County so special.

Thanks to our campaign sponsors, matching pool supporters, and community members, Give A Hoot inspired more than 5,000 individual donations totaling $3.2 million benefiting 91 local nonprofits and setting a new standard for generosity in our region.

Since launching in 2019, Give A Hoot has raised over $13.2 million through nearly 25,000 donations, supporting more than 100 organizations across Park County. This year’s results are a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with heart and purpose.

“Our neighbors never cease to amaze us,” said Gavin Clark, Executive Director of the Park County Community Foundation. “The energy and generosity behind Give A Hoot reflect just how deeply people care about the nonprofits that make Park County thrive.”

Paradise Valley Firefighters Association participated in Give A Hoot for the first time in 2025. Here, Pete Ryan is picking up the check of all the generous donations and matching pool funds from the PCCF office on Main Street. Pete kindly brought in cookies made by his wife as a generous gift for staff.

The funds raised this year will help nonprofits tackle some of the county’s most urgent needs—like economic hardship and community well-being—identified through PCCF’s We Will visioning initiative. These unrestricted dollars give organizations the flexibility to respond where it matters most.

One standout example: the North Yellowstone Education Foundation (NYEF) plans to use its Give A Hoot funds to support ongoing efforts to provide affordable housing for teachers, classroom resources, and wellness initiatives. “This campaign has been a game-changer for us,” said Laura Chastain, NYEF’s Executive Director. “It’s helped raise visibility and support during the busiest time of year.”

This year’s campaign featured a record-breaking matching pool of nearly $538,000. Thanks to generous donors and sponsors, participating nonprofits received bonus funds based on how much they raised. Three organizations earned a maximum $20,000 match, nine received $15,000, 16 organizations received a $10,000 match, and 63 received $0.35 for every dollar raised, a 3-cent-per-dollar increase over 2024.

“Being part of the Matching Pool is one of the most rewarding ways to give,” said Tricia Erikson, Director of Philanthropy at PCCF. “It’s amazing to see how contributions to the matching pool inspire others and multiply impact across the community.”

PCCF extends heartfelt thanks to its Give A Hoot campaign sponsors, the Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation and Willow Creek Ranch.

Matching Pool supporters include the JAKET Foundation (Phil & Liz Gross), The Solso Family Foundation, Jan and Trevor Rees-Jones, Circle 49 Participants, AMB West Community Fund, Livingston’s ACE Hardware, Harvey and Carol Massey Foundation, Diana & Bruce Rauner, Fishcamp Custom, Highcamp Compliance, Bill Flick, Frontline Ag Solutions, Sal and Carol Lalani, The Dovana Foundation, Sibanye Stillwater, PFL, Opportunity Bank of Montana, Joe Phelps, The Community Closet, glassybaby, and First Interstate Bank.

Give A Hoot is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of community,” said Keva Ward, PCCF Program Manager. “Our nonprofits support us all year long. Give A Hoot is a chance for the community to return the favor and help our nonprofits continue to provide the essential services that help make Park County the special place that it is.”
