PCCF Launches Emergency Food Response Campaign
Residents standing in line at Livingston Food Resource Center
Join us in fighting hunger in Park County
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Our recently released 2025 We Will Report paints a sobering picture: food insecurity remains one of the most pressing challenges in Park County. While our community is known for resilience and generosity, many of our neighbors—families, seniors, and children—are struggling to put food on the table. And with the holidays approaching, the situation is becoming more acute by the day.
Food Insecurity in Park County:
One in six of our residents receives direct food support from local nonprofits.
Over 1,300 people in Park County rely on Federal food assistance every month
Nearly 23% of Park County's kids live below the poverty line, and many more live amid financial strain that limits access to healthy meals.
Organizations like the Livingston Food Resource Center, Gardiner Food Pantry, Loaves and Fishes, Meals on Wheels, and Farm to School are working tirelessly to meet this increased need. In the last month alone, the Livingston Food Resource Center has distributed 36% more food than in September. Even more alarming, they have already distributed 161% more food this year than in all of 2021. Local organizations combating food insecurity need our help.
Thanks to you and our many supporters, PCCF has granted over $100,000 this year to local nonprofits that feed our friends and neighbors—and it’s still not enough.
In what we identify as an all-hands-on-deck moment, we invite you to join us in supporting the nonprofits on the front lines of hunger relief. Your gift—large or small—will make a tangible difference for families who need our help now*.
Emergency Food Response Giving Challenge
A group of generous individuals has donated $25,000 toward a Matching Challenge to launch this Emergency Food Response Fund. For the next ten days, through Saturday, November 15th, every dollar you donate to any of the organizations listed below will be partially matched—meaning your gift goes further to fight hunger in Park County. For those familiar with the Give A Hoot campaign, this partial matching pool will function the same way.
Want to make an even bigger impact? Consider contributing directly to the Emergency Food Response Matching Pool, spreading your gift among all the groups listed below, helping us extend this challenge, and inspiring even more giving countywide.

Thank you for standing with us and for your continued commitment to a stronger, healthier community.
For the Love of Park County,
Gavin Clark and the Park County Community Foundation Team
* PCCF will pass through 100% of all donations, except for any credit card fees that donors decline to cover.
