WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?

The One Valley Community Foundation is excited to bring back this five-part series that offers an overview of nonprofit finances and financial best practices. This series will have only 30 participants, which will allow for our experts to answer your questions and help you better understand your organization's finances.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Jenn Lammers, Executive Director of the Bozeman Schools Foundation and Board President of the One Valley Community Foundation

Jenn is an expert in philanthropy, social change and nonprofit management. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Bozeman Schools Foundation. Prior to moving to Bozeman, she was the Director of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, a national knowledge community and professional association for consultants, educators and funders dedicated to strengthening the nonprofit sector. Jenn joined the One Valley board in 2018 and became Board President in 2019. Working closely with Bridget, Jenn has been instrumental in strengthening One Valley’s administrative infrastructure, expanding its staff and increasing the Foundation’s regional footprint.

Lisa Prunty, CPA & Owner of By The Books Financial and Treasurer of the One Valley Community Foundation Board

Lisa is a CPA and proudly holds the title Chief Accounting Nerd at her firm By The Books Financial Services. She has held diverse roles from Controller and Director of Accounting at small and mid-sized privately held companies to Risk Manager at a multi-billion dollar S&P 500 firm before moving to Bozeman in 2015.

Crystal Macmillian, CPA at CS & Company

A native of Kansas City, Crystal moved to the Gallatin Valley area in the Summer of 2019 to enjoy the Mountains and all that Montana has to offer. Before joining CS & Company, Crystal worked for Foundant Technologies as a member of the Client Services Team. Crystal was also an Accounting Manager for the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, providing back-office accounting services to Community Foundations across the country.

COST

First nonprofit representative: $250

Second nonprofit representative: $200

SCHOLARSHIPS:

Scholarships are available for up to 50% of the program cost. Scholarships are available for any nonprofit staff members based in Gallatin County that demonstrate a financial need. Scholarship requests will be considered on a rolling basis and will be awarded until all funds are distributed. Apply for a scholarship here.
