The PCCF is working with the Pediatric Care Team, Links for Learning, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Livingston Schools and other local organizations to form a coalition to collaborate on issues facing Park County's youth. The first step of this coalition will be to identify issues, create an inventory of available programs, determine data points and data sources that we can monitor and determine goals and action plans. This group is still being formed and we hope to have our first formal meeting in May or June 2010.
The PCCF is working with the Southwest Chemical Dependency Program, Park County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Livingston Police Department along with other organizations that work with adolescents, families and community members helping provide education regarding risk behavior and offering prevention programs. These organizations working together and are called the Park County Prevention Coalition and meet monthly in Livingston.
The group is currently working on identifying an inventory of available programs to help reduce risk behavior, and also to identify additional data point (indicators) that we may establish to monitor progress. Our goal is to identify an action plan for this group to work on collectively toward reducing risk behavior in Park County. Contact the PCCF for more information.
