Donors who give to the PCCF have a wide variety of tax effective options to best meet your charitable interests and needs:
Funding the PCCF grant making process supports PCCF’s regular grant cycles—a competitive process managed by the Grantmaking Committee and overseen by PCCF Board and staff.

Endowment gifts are placed in a permanent endowment with income from the endowment to be used for operations and grantmaking in the community. Montana taxpayers that make a qualifying gift to endowment may be able to take a credit against their Montana income tax liability.
Donor-Advised Funds offer the opportunity for philanthropists to create an easy-to-establish and flexible tool for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or creating a private foundation. Grant awards may go to charities in the name of the fund or anonymously. Donor advised funds may be supported over the long-term by the donor, placed into endowment, or may be allocated out in their entirety.
Field of Interest Funds are similar to donor advised funds. The donor specifies the area of giving—e.g. health care, arts, youth activities—without specifying individual organizations. Such funds are distributed as grants through PCCF’s competitive grantmaking process. See the list of past grant recipients
Annual Support helps to sustain the ongoing activities and organizational costs of PCCF.
